Best Smores ever
So I told you about the "foldables" I found a few days ago in the grocery store. Its flour tortillas in a shape of a flower, that can be folded into cute envelopes squares. The first recipe I did with them was the "foldables cheese tortillas", make sure to check them out, they make a fabulous easy dinner. I knew right away that I will try to make more recipes using this tortillas. Well, on the back of the package were some recipe ideas, and one of them was peanut butter jelly. It gave me ideas for other sweet options, and today I made 2 of them. Make sure to try the other one as well - the " foldable Elvis"
So why are these the best smores ever?? Well, you can make them easily at home on a pan, no fire pit necessary, so you can enjoy them all year long, also, they are very easy to manage and hold when they are wrapped in the tortilla, the tortillas cooked in a buttered pan, giving them heavenly flavor (and fill your kitchen with irresistible smell) and then they are dipped in cinnamon and sugar mixture, that gives them extra flavor and crunch. On top of all that, I took the liberty to change the basic smores ingredient for an upgraded version: fine chocolate instead of the Hershey bars, and lotus buttery cookies instead of the Graham crackers, The marshmallows stayed the same. Are you convinced now that those are the best ever??
Well, why are you still here, let's get to the kitchen 🙂
Ingredients
1 package " foldables" tortillas
1 small package of marshmallows
1 package lotus cookies
3 fine chocolate bars
½ cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Butter for cooking
Instructions
Mix the sugar and cinnamon together and place in a wide bowl
Heat a pan to low-medium and place some butter in it - about 1 teaspoon
On a plate place the tortilla and put 4 halves of marshmallows parallel to the line of the tortilla "wings"
Place 2 lotus cookies on top, facing the same way
Place 6 cubes of chocolate on top of the cookies,(about 30 gr)
Cover with 4 more marshmallow halves
Fold the tortilla wings to cover all and place your tortilla, facing down, into the pan, and hold it in place, using your spatula.
Cook for about 1-2 min, till golden brown, and flip to the other side.
Repeat on the other side and remove into the sugar/cinnamon mixture.
Cover in the mixture on both sides and serve immediately.
Enjoy 😋
