Foldable Elvis

So I told you about the "foldables" I found a few days ago in the grocery store. Its flour tortillas in a shape of a flower, that can be folded into cute envelopes squares. The first recipe I did with them was the "foldables cheese tortillas", make sure to check them out, they make a fabulous easy dinner. I knew right away that I will try to make more recipes using this tortillas. Well, on the back of the package were some recipe ideas, and one of them was peanut butter jelly. It gave me ideas for other sweet options, and today I made 2 of them. Make sure to try the other one as well - the " best smores ever"

So what are the Elvis?? About a year ago, we returned from a hiking family trip and we were starving. We stopped in the only dinner around, and they had "Elvis sandwich" on the menu.

We never heard of it before, we found out that Elvis lived to eat toasted sandwiches with peanut butter and bananas. We ordered it right away to give it a try before we get our food. We loved it. Ever since then, we are making them at home, using my cinnamon bread. It's so good.

Well, I had an idea to make a version of them, in the " foldables" with yet another twist. I added chocolate and marshmallows, cooked it to golden brown in butter, and then dipped it into sugar/cinnamon mixture. OMG, someone need to stop me.

Ingredients

1 package " foldables" tortillas

16 marshmallows

3 fine chocolate bars

16 tablespoons Peanut butter

½ cup sugar

3 sliced bananas

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. Mix the sugar and cinnamon together and place in a wide bowl

  2. Heat a pan to low-medium and place some butter in it - about 1 teaspoon

  3. On a plate, place the tortilla and spread 2 tablespoons of peanut butter in the center.

  4. Top it with 4 banana slices

  5. Place 6 cubes of chocolate on top of the bananas (about 30 gr)

  6. Cover with 4 marshmallow halves

  7. Fold the tortilla wings to cover all and place your tortilla, facing down, into the pan, and hold it in place, using your spatula.

  8. Cook for about 1-2 min, till golden brown, and flip to the other side.

  9. Repeat on the other side and remove into the sugar/cinnamon mixture.

  10. Cover in the mixture on both sides and serve immediately.
